CEEE Is Hiring!

The Center for Evaluation and Educational Effectiveness (CEEE) is currently hiring to fill Graduate Assistant (GA) positions for the 2021-2022 academic year! The GA will be an active participant in the research and evaluation process of educational programs. CEEE works with colleges, universities, K12 schools and districts, and not-for-profits through research and evaluation that aims to support effective educational programs in their goals towards student success for all. Duties / Responsibilities

Graduate Evaluation Assistants (GAs) will be involved in all facets of data collection and analysis on specified projects (e.g., BUILD; HSI-STEM; CCOG; etc.). GAs will perform a range of research and administrative duties related to the project, including but not limited to:

  • Conduct literature searches, prepare summaries, and draft literature reviews
  • Collaborate as part of a team on the implementation of a client evaluation plan, including participation in the development of surveys and interview/focus group protocols
  • Assist and administer surveys and interviews/focus groups
  • Manage, organize, and engage in analysis of quantitative and qualitative data
  • Manipulate data and prepare charts, tables, and graphs
  • Participate in the writing of research and evaluation reports
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled CEEE team meetings; team project meetings; and any required professional development and trainings (e.g. literature review training, APA writing training)
  • Prepare and conduct project presentations using graphics software
  • Other miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned (e.g. scheduling research interviews, transcribing interviews, cleaning datasets, reviewing codebooks and datasets for existing data)

Experience / Desirable Qualities

We are seeking Graduate Evaluation Assistants (GAs) who possess the following experience and desirable qualities:

  • Positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Interest in program evaluation, research methods, and/or program improvement forstudent success
  • Experience with data collection and analysis (quantitative and/or qualitative) and/or adesire to learn
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience with SPSS, NVivo and/or a desire to learn
  • Ability to work independently, effectively multi-task and problem-solve while meetingtimelines and deadlines for varying projects
  • Ability and desire to work with a diverse employee and student population
  • Ability and desire to work in a professional, team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • A sense of humor

Compensation / Hours

Salary: $15.33/hour
Hours: Remote work schedule; 10-20 Hours/week; M – Th with Wednesday work hours required
