University Housing & Residential Life

Long Beach State University's housing will be your home away from home. You'll have the opportunity to learn and grow from peers, staff and faculty outside of the classroom setting.

Long Beach State University's housing options offer students a convenient and supportive living environment. On-campus housing provides students with a sense of community and the opportunity to get involved in campus life. Living on campus can also help students feel more connected to the university and make it easier to access academic and other resources.

HRL BROCHURE

Housing and Residential Life creates safe, welcoming, and inclusive communities that engage a diverse student population in their personal and social development while promoting academic success and responsible citizenship through high quality services and initiatives.

The CSULB Residential Curriculum is an intentional approach to ensuring that learning takes place everywhere, not just in the classroom. Students who to choose to live on campus and become a member of the Housing and Residential Life community will have the opportunity to engage in various strategies that enhance the development and growth of our residents. These strategies include social events, developmental programs, discussion sessions, and one-on-one conversations that focus on understanding oneself, building community, health and wellness, and academic success. At the conclusion of their residential experience, our educational priority is that by living on campus our students will have become more responsible, mindful, and engaged community members.
