Student Success & Advising Center (SSAC)
Location: EED-32
(Formerly know as the Credential Center and Teacher Preparation Advising Center)
Stop By and see us Monday-Friday from 9am-12pm and 1pm-5pm or give us a call at (562) 985-1105.
The CED Student Success and Advising Center (SSAC) was formed in late Spring 2024. The Center combines the services from the former Teacher Preparation Advising Center (TPAC) and the Credential Center into a one stop shop. The Center has both a Credential and Liberal Studies Advising Team as well as a Credential Analyst team ready to assist.
The Credential and Liberal Studies Advising Team provides prospective and current student academic advising for the following programs:
- Liberal Studies Undergraduate Degree
- Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP)
- Education Specialist Credential Program
- Multiple Subject Credential Program
- Single Subject Credential Program
- Urban Dual Credential Program

The Credential Analyst Team provides candidates assistance with opening a licensing file, submission of documents, and credential application information. Advisement and licensing support for University Interns. Advisement on Added Authorizations and for credential holders seeking renewal information.
