Dr. Heather Macias Appointed Faculty Center Associate Director
Congratulations to Dr. Heather Macias on her recent appointment to Associate Director of the Faculty Center for this academic year. In this additional capacity, Dr. Macias will be providing leadership in the design, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive faculty professional growth and support program. Dr. Macias will also address issues of classroom equity and inclusivity, along with faculty/student mindfulness and wellbeing by creating, maintaining, revising, and facilitating Faculty Learning Communities. In this capacity, Dr. Macias will be working closely with a group of faculty across the campus to, …“introduce, discuss, and unpack issues of equity and inclusivity in higher education, and ways to improve our teaching to ensure that all students feel included, valued, and respected in the classroom,” shares Dr. Macias.
