Dr. Achola presents on a Family Interdependent Planning Approach to Transition

Dr. Edwin Achola recently presented at the 19th International Division on Career Development and Transition Conference in Portland, Oregon. His presentations covered topics related to transition planning, culturally diverse families, and participation in extra-curricular activities. Dr. Achola spoke about innovative planning strategies to support culturally diverse youth with disabilities who plan to transition into post-secondary education. Key among these strategies is Person-Family Interdependent Planning Approach. The strategy draws upon evidence-based practices such as person-centered planning and family centered planning.
