Shriya Basu

Dr. Shriya Basu, Ph.D. CCC-SLP is an Assistant Professor at California State University-Long Beach, CA, and UROP Mentor. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota with a dual focus majoring in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Cognitive Sciences. Her research interests include Fluency, Language, and Cognition. Her past and current research projects are aimed at understanding the Multi-dimensional model of Stuttering: more specifically the effects of Attention, Executive Function, and Working Memory on Linguistic Variables in children and adults who stutter. As a bilingual SLP, certified both in the US and India, Dr. Basu is passionate about issues related to cultural and linguistic diversity in the field of speech, language, and hearing.
