Department of Kinesiology

 

Thank you for your interest in the Department of Kinesiology.  We are one of the largest departments within the College of Health and Human Services and offer programs of study leading to the Bachelor of Science, Master of Arts and Master of Science degrees.  Our faculty, lecturers, and staff take pride in ensuring students have quality experiences both in and out of the classroom. 

 

The Financial Aid and Scholarships Office is the official hub for scholarship information at CSULB. We collect, organize, and distribute information on hundreds of external scholarships as well as administer university scholarships for the campus.

Cardiff Metropolitan University – Cardiff- Wales (Spring Semesters)

Initiated in 1984, the Kinesiology Department's International Exchange Program with Cardiff Metropolitan University is the oldest and one of the most active exchange programs at CSULB. The program provides the opportunity for Kinesiology majors to study abroad for one semester (SPRING) at Cardiff Metropolitan University, Great Britain. While overseas, Kinesiology students from CSULB take comparable Kinesiology courses at Cardiff Metropolitan University (UWIC) which are transferable on their return to CSULB.

University of Limerick

The exchange with the University of Limerick started in spring 2019.  This is a Fall and Spring semester exchange program.  This program provides Kinesiology majors with the opportunity to take KIN courses at the University of Limerick, which are transferable on their return to CSULB.  The University of Limerick is recognized as the premier Physical Education and Exercise Science program in Ireland.     Here’s some information on both the Physical Education and Exercise Science Options at the University of Limerick.
