ESSC Drop-In Advising

Welcome to the Engineering Student Success Center (ESSC) Drop-In Advising! We understand that sometimes you need quick answers or immediate support without the need for a scheduled appointment. That’s why our team of ESSC Advisors is here to provide personalized guidance during designated drop-in hours.

What is Drop-In Advising? Drop-in advising is a convenient way to get answers to your academic questions, clarify university policies, or receive guidance on your educational journey. Each ESSC Advisor hosts drop-in hours on a specific day of the week, and with the assistance of our trained Peer Advisors, we can ensure that you receive comprehensive support.

What Can You Discuss During Drop-Ins?

  • Class schedule assistance
  • Assistance with university resources
  • General policy questions
  • Tips for managing your workload
  • Immediate concerns or roadblocks in your academic journey

Drop-in advising is designed for shorter conversations (approximately 10-15 minutes). For more detailed discussions, we recommend scheduling a one-on-one appointment with your Advisor.

Important Information: Drop-ins are on a first-come, first-served basis, and wait times may vary. Due to high demand, drop-in advising may close early if capacity is reached.

Please note: Drop-In and Appointment-Based Advising is for continuing students only. For prospective students, please reach out to Admissions: Prospective Students. For incoming freshmen, please visit COE: Incoming FTFY. For incoming transfers, please visit COE: Incoming Transfers.
