Dean's Commission on Equity, Diversity, & Racial Justice

In 2020,  the College of Engineering formed the Dean's Commission on Equity, Diversity and Racial Justice in furtherance of CSULB's core values of equity and inclusive excellence, and the goal to increase racial, ethnic and gender diversity in the field.

The commission was formed with input from student groups—these include the National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers, and Society of Women Engineers—and is a body of faculty, staff and students that work to find creative ways to improve equity, diversity and racial justice within the college.
