DR. CHIT-SANG TSANG

Dr. Tsang received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Southern California. He had worked in the communications and computer industry for over a decade before joining the CSULB Electrical Engineering department in 1988. Dr. Tsang teaches and conducts research in digital communications and digital signal processing.

He has more than 30years of academic and industrial experience in satellite communication, including civil and military satellite system engineering, synchronization, waveform, phased array, and networking. He also conducts research on speech signal processing, neural networks, and fuzzy logic systems. Besides teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and consulting for industry, Dr. Tsang supervises Ph.D. and M.S. students on thesis and projects. A thesis under his supervision received the best thesis award in the department. He has published about 50 journal and conference papers in communications and digital signal processing, and holds one patent.
