Undergraduate- Competency Goal Improvement Summary 2023
Competency  Improvements Process (P) or curriculum (c) and date

Ethics  P -The BLAW Director consulted with BLAW faculty to conduct Fall 2023 assessment in CBA 400 Business Ethics rather than BLAW 320 because BLAW 320 covers ethics in 1-2 weeks of instruction, CBA 400 is an entire semester, and allows for more interactive learning. Learners have met the benchmark for ethics in both rounds of assessments.
Team and Interpersonal skills The learners did not achieve the performance of 80% benchmark in both rounds of assessment.

Faculty will continue emphasizing increased continuity of content and capstone assignments across sections in the next round of assessment.

Business Functions Skills  Learners’ performance is above the benchmark in business functions competency in both rounds of assessments.
Quantitative & Technical Skills P- In the first round of assessment, there was 23% of students who did not meet the expectations, which indicates an opportunity for improvement in the closing the loop round. With more comprehensive improvements of pedagogical material in the closing loop round, learners have demonstrated proficiency in attaining quantitative & technical skills competency. In the next round of assessment, we will examine the alignment between assessment questions and any suggested learning goals
