Dr. Fischer's professional expertise focuses on the tools of social science research, namely research design and statistical analysis. His training and experience with quantitative research methods and statistical data analysis have contributed to his work focusing on the correctional system (offender reentry, treatment programs, recidivism), intimate partner violence (impacts on children, bystander intervention), and substance use (drug checking, trends in use, decision making, harm reduction). He is a collaborative researcher who often contributes his methodological and statistical skills to a wide variety of criminological research topics.
