Dr. Lohrasb Keykhosropour

Dr. Lohrasb Keykhosropour joined the CSULB Department of Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering Management as a lecturer in Fall 2021. He received his Ph.D. from University of California, Irvine (UCI) in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering.

He is a registered civil engineer in the states of California, Washington, and Colorado, and has more than 10 years of experience in the field of geotechnical engineering. He currently works as a Transportation (Geotechnical) Engineer for Caltrans’ Office of Geotechnical Design.

Dr. Keykhosropour has managed the geotechnical design and construction of transportation projects, residential and commercial developments, schools and educational facilities, and seismic retrofitting of structures.

His main research interests include seismic soil‐structure interaction, liquefaction mitigation, ground response analysis, numerical modeling of soil‐structure systems, site‐specific seismic hazard analysis, and ground improvement methods. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Deep Foundations Institute, and the California Geotechnical Engineering Association.
