The Single Subject Credential English Program invites all current and prospective students to seek program-specific advising in an English Credential. The advisor assists students in program planning for both English credential course work and subject matter competency.  Incoming credential students should meet with the advisor to discuss pathways to subject matter competency; students receive mandatory advising during EDSS 300G.  Students should bring transcripts or MYCSULB printouts to advising meetings. Additionally, prospective students are invited to attend general informational meetings scheduled by the Single Subject Program throughout the year. Important Note Regarding Petitions: Dr. Wooldridge will not sign a petition without consultation and advising prior to submission for review.

Student Teaching Advisement

Students applying to student teach must familiarize themselves with the student teaching application process and requirements available at the Single Subject Program site. General information about the Single Subject Credential Program (provided in detail on the SSCP website). Please review it thoroughly to see which questions can be addressed before making an appointment.
