LBUSD Superintendent & College of Education Alumnus Christopher Steinhauser Elected to CSU Board of Trustees

Long Beach Unified School District Superintendent Christopher Steinhauser, has been elected to the CSU Board of Trustees. An alumnus of CSULB’s College of Education, Mr. Steinhauser earned an MA in Educational Administration, and credentials in multiple-subject and administrative services. Serving as Superintendent to LBUSD since 2002, Mr. Steinhauser has served the school district for decades beginning as a teacher in an inner-city elementary school and later becoming a school principal. His achievements as Superintendent are long and exemplary garnering him a national reputation for closing achievement gaps within the district. Under his supervision and leadership, the district earned the national Broad Prize for Urban Education, an award the district was a finalist for five times.
