GERN 600: Seminar in Leadership and Administration

GERN 600 is a 15-week hybrid seminar designed to develop leadership, management, and administrative skills for students in Gerontology and Family & Consumer Sciences. Offered in Spring 2026, this course meets Wednesdays from 6:00–8:45 PM and is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Students will explore their leadership style, build career and lifelong learning goals, lead class discussions, interview local leaders, engage in strategic planning, and analyze ethical issues in leadership and administration. The course prepares students for leadership roles while strengthening decision-making, communication skills, and professional confidence.
