Jonathan Pilzon

Three years.

The best part of working for DHS is that my job gives me a great since of satisfaction knowing that I am helping keep our country safe.

First and foremost, I am devoted to being a public servant. Also, I needed a degree that would give me the confidence and knowledge to pursue more challenging responsibilities and career advancement. I was interested in learning more from experienced public service professionals. The MPA program was the best choice to enhance my career potential and provide the very best educational experience.

I enjoy going to Dodger games, movies, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Rynold Jackson

I have been employed with DHS USCIS for seven (7) years.  I am also a retired United States Navy combat veteran.

There are many great attributes I can say that I like about working for DHS USCIS.  However, I will say that working for DHS USCIS gives me personal satisfaction to know that I play a role which contributes to protecting Americans and securing the homeland.  Furthermore, I cannot overemphasize the professional and personal growth I have experienced while working for DHS USCIS.

I am pursuing an MPA because it is an academic concentration with theories, concepts, and terms that can be applied in any occupation and in both private and government sectors.

When I am not in the office, I enjoy interacting, creating friendships and networking with fellow CSULB PPA students, maintaining a physical fitness regimen, spending time with family and friends, donating blood platelets to American Red Cross, and engaging in civic activities/community service.
