PHAB Meeting

The purpose of the Department of Health Science Public Health Advisory Board (PHAB) at CSULB is to provide feedback on the department's student outcomes, curriculum, strategic plan, and more. The group consists of professionals, community members, and diverse stakeholders who are essential to making sure the Department of Health Science is operating well to meet the needs of the public health workforce. PHAB members serve two year voluntary terms with a potential option to renew membership. They also can provide classroom guest lectures, serve as preceptors and engage with students in a myriad of meaningful ways, such as attending student socials, like the one held last fall to network with industry professionals. The PHAB met with Health Science students and faculty this spring semester to talk about more ways the advisory board may help and engage with students moving forward.

The PHAB was in attendance for a student-faculty mixer last fall semester, and reconvened to have a formal meeting with Department leadership, faculty, and students in the spring.
