Nina Wooldridge
Director of the Single Subject Credential Program
Dr. Wooldridge is the Director of the Single Subject Credential Program (SSCP) leading one of the largest credential programs in California. SSCP is a university wide program working across five colleges and ten departments to prepare exquisite educators for our district partners. Prior to this role, Dr. Wooldridge supported students and educators as an English SSCP Coordinator and faculty member within the English and Teacher Education Departments. Dr. Wooldridge began her teaching career in Long Beach Unified School District where she served as an English teacher and District Literacy Coach. Dr. Wooldridge is currently on the California Writing Project Advisory Board and works with educational leaders across the state to create affirming learning environments attuned to students’ academic, professional, and overall wellness. Dr. Wooldridge is deeply committed to inform, innovate, and transform teacher education empowering teachers to be leaders within their communities and advocates for social justice alongside their students.
