Dr. Kellie Walters

Dr. Walters is a nationally recognized expert in health and wellness coaching, behavior change, and inclusive fitness, and co-founder of Smart Fit Girls and Smart Fit Womxn. She brings additional relevant experience from her time as Director of Adult Fitness at Colorado State University, a fitness facility for older adults similar to LifeFit, where she incorporated undergraduate health and exercise science students into hands-on training experiences, including leading group warm-ups and taking participants' blood pressure.

Dr. Kevin Valenzuela

Dr. Valenzuela has worked in movement analysis for the last 14 years, currently serving as the co-director of the Movement Science Lab. His research history includes older adults, joint replacements, athletic populations, and pregnancy/post-partum. In addition to his research, he holds a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist credential, and has worked as a coach/personal trainer for 20 years. His background in the field complements Dr. Walters' expertise, and together they offer a well-rounded, student-focused perspective that will help guide the LifeFit Center's next chapter.

Araceli Velasco 

Araceli graduated from Long Beach State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Fitness Option. Araceli is a certified personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and a certified group exercise instructor through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). She enjoys nature, interacting with animals, exercising, and dancing.
