CSULB Home College of Education News News 11 February, 2019 Enabling and Supporting Future Educators: CED Scholarships 2018-2019 In the 2018-19 academic year, the College of Education awarded $362,532 in donor supported scholarship funds to 135 CED students. Many of these students were honored and recognized, along with their donors, at the annual College of Education Scholarship Reception held last October. 5 February, 2019 Meet "Mary and her New Friends", the First Children’s Book by CED Alum, Dr. Fawzia Reza College of Education alumna, Dr. Fawzia Reza has recently published her first children’s book, Mary and her New Friends. 28 January, 2019 Master Students, Master Teachers: S.D. I can prepare the great minds that will shape and change our world.” College of Education graduate student, Jenny Franke, is a current teacher who knew that her impact in the world could be great. 14 January, 2019 Working to Expand MTSS: Dr. Jacob Olsen Dr. Jacob Olsen has been selected to be on the Projects Design Team of a newly formed partnership between the Center for the Transformation of Schools at UCLA, the Orange County Department of Education, and the Butte County Office of Education. 10 January, 2019 College of Education Alum, Dr. Brian McDaniel, Nominated for the Global Teacher Prize Recipient of the 2018 California Teacher of the Year Award and nominee for National Teacher of the Year, CSULB alumnus in Education and Music, Dr. Brian McDaniel has been nominated for the Global Teacher Prize. 9 January, 2019 New Board Member Position for Dr. Bita Ghafoori Dr. 7 January, 2019 The College of Ed Receives $200,000 Endowed Scholarship The Western Shores Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) have generously given a $200,000 endowment creating the Linna Young Memorial Scholarship.
