Dr. Cara Richards Tutor will be a co-Principal Investigator on a $4 million, 5-year study from the Institute of Education Sciences to replicate the “Read Well” program. In addition to Dr. Richards Tutor, the new study will be led by researchers at the University of Virginia and University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Richards Tutor will receive $1 million of this $4 million grant to lead the intervention work in California where she will be working with 3-4 local school districts in the Los Angeles/Orange County area.
