Ly credits CED’s School Psychology master’s program with teaching him to be more culturally competent, better preparing him for this fellowship. “Overall, I have acquired a breadth of knowledge that I can use to support all families and students of diverse backgrounds. For instance, I learned how to adapt to the cultural contexts of different communities by incorporating cultural knowledge into my practices.”

Sharing what he looks most forward to experiencing and learning from this fellowship, Ly says, “I look forward to learning more about the mental health issues that ethnic minorities face and ways I can support these individuals and their families. I am also excited to attend the Minority Fellowship Program Psychology Summer Institute.”

Congratulations, Steven!
