Wendi Gilchrist, DNP, WHCNP-C, PHN
Wendi Gilchrist is a lecturer in the CSULB School of Nursing. She has been a full-time faculty member in the School since Spring 2014. Dr. Gilchrist has been a nationally certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner since 2000. Throughout her career, she has gained a variety of experiences through roles within nursing education, health administration, while providing health care to women across the lifespan.
Dr. Gilchrist’s research and practice interests concentrate on women’s health, specifically postpartum depression. Additionally, she focuses on how to provide education regarding spiritual care to nursing students without bias.
