Melissa Dyo

Melissa Dyo (pronounced “Joe”) is a Professor and the Undergraduate Director in the School of Nursing. Her direct care experiences include critical care nursing and as a nurse practitioner in primary care. Her doctoral research explored the relationship of physical symptoms and spiritual transformation in cardiac patients. This experience solidified her belief in the integration of faith, science, and scholarship and has shaped her perspective on teaching and leadership.  As a leader in higher education she believes that learning should be transformative, both within the student and for the communities that they serve.
