Our Fashion Merchandising and Design students proudly unveiled an 18' × 8' Sustainable Textile Mural at SeaWorld San Diego on June 8, 2026, in celebration of World Ocean Day.

Created during Spring 2026 using 100% recycled materials, the mural transformed donated clothing and discarded textiles into a large-scale work of art. The project brought together students, faculty, The Salvation Army, and SeaWorld San Diego through a shared commitment to sustainability, collaboration, and creative problem-solving.

Students also documented their process through a special podcast series, Making Waves on Jacq’s Fashion Lab, capturing the journey from concept to completion.

Congratulations and thank you to everyone who contributed to this meaningful project!
