Faculty Research Spotlight: Dr. Venetta Campbell

The CSULB President’s Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW) recently honored Dr.  Venetta Campbell, CSULB School of Social Work Lecturer, with the Women’s Advancement Achievement Award. Dr. Campbell was acknowledged for her campus leadership as Chair of the PCSW, including highlighting women’s issues, creating opportunities for them to be addressed, and serving as a model regarding embracing shared leadership principles that resulted in efficiently managing business teams while still collaborative amongst the members and between campus partners. Her knowledge and expertise as an educator and practitioner within the School of Social Work have benefitted the PCSW Commissioners, Joint Commissions, CSULB Students, Staff, faculty, and community partners. She is an outstanding example of shared governance in action!
