Ukleja Center for Ethical Leadership to Present its Annual

Nell and John Wooden Ethics in Leadership Award

After over a year of virtual gatherings, we’re excited about getting together in person this fall and the Ukleja Center for Ethical Leadership is planning something out of this world!

On behalf of our event’s honorary co-chairs, Mayor Robert Garcia and CSULB President Jane Close Conoley, we invite you to save the date (pdf) for the Nell and John Wooden Ethics in Leadership Award event at The Modern on Thursday, October 7, 2021.

Come mix and mingle with friends at a reception overlooking Long Beach Airport’s private jet runway followed by an intimate dinner with our honoree – Eileen Collins.

A retired Air Force colonel and NASA astronaut, Col. Collins will share her story and inspirational leadership lessons from her new book, Through the Glass Ceiling to the Stars: The Story of the First American Woman to Command a Space Mission.

Enclosed are event details along with sponsorship opportunities and benefits.  In addition to celebrating the stellar leadership legacies of Coach Wooden and Col. Collins, your presence will support the Ukleja Center’s vision of integrating an ethics module in every CSULB course.

Tickets are $300 for individuals and table sponsorships (pdf) range from $3,000 to $10,000.  For more information or to secure your sponsorship, please contact Janey Roeder at jane.roeder@csulb.edu or (562) 985-8600.  We look forward to sharing this inspirational evening with you and your guests!
