COB Certificate Official Policy Statement
College of Business Official Certificate Statement
To be eligible for a College of Business Certificate Program, undergraduate students must be officially declared in a CSULB major and have a 3.0 or higher overall, CSULB, and major GPA. Due to our current impaction, we will not allow any undeclared or pre-majors, graduate students, or students with any one of their GPAs below 3.0 to declare a COB Certificate. College of Business will not accept support from other colleges to add an additional degree objective of a COB certificate if anyone of the students ’GPAs is below 3.0.
The business analytics certificate program provides students the foundational knowledge and skills to organize and analyze business-related data in various formats. Students learn how to identify business problems, to develop solution processes, to present descriptive and predictive outcomes, and to make and decisions accordingly. Large data sets, case studies, and practical software tools are utilized.
