TidyUp and UDOIT
TidyUp and UDOIT (pronounced You Do It) are companion tools that help instructors efficiently identify accessibility issues and organize content in Canvas. Used together, these tools support the creation of inclusive, accessible, and compliant learning environments. Find these tools in the left navigation links in your Canvas account.
- TidyUP in Canvas makes it easy to identify unpublished pages, delete outdated materials, and remove empty folders, thus reducing clutter and streamlining course content.
- UDOIT scans Canvas courses for accessibility issues and provides easy-to-follow guidance to remediate them.
Pro Tip: For best results, use TidyUP before running an accessibility scan with UDOIT. This will ensure that only active and relevant course content materials are being evaluated during the scan. This reduces false positives from hidden or outdated materials and allows you to focus on your accessibility efforts where they’ll have the greatest impact on students.
