Backups
Data backup is saving additional copies of your data in separate physical or virtual locations. Regular backups protect against the risk of damage or loss due to hardware failure, software faults, and malware such as ransomware, power failure, or even human errors.
You can store your data on:
- Campus-provided file shares. These are automatically secured and backed up a regular basis.
- On campus approved cloud storage OneDrive, a secure and backed up cloud storage service for faculty and staff members available within the campus Single Sign-On service (SSO)
If you have any questions or concerns about encryption, please contact security@csulb.edu.
