DR. HAIXIA PENG

Dr. Haixia Peng joined the Department of Computer Engineering & Computer Science at California State University, Long Beach as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2021. She obtained her Ph.D. degrees in Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Canada, and Northeastern University in Shenyang, China, in 2017 and 2021, respectively.

Dr. Peng’s research focuses on resource management in Vehicular Networks and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Her research applies optimization and reinforcement learning methods to achieve real-time resource slicing and allocation in dynamical vehicular networks and static IIoT networks to provide different applications with guaranteed quality of service requirements. Dr. Peng analyzed the performance of vehicular communications for autonomous driving applications during her first Ph.D. studies and investigated the multi-dimensional resource management issues in a multi-access edge-computing-based vehicular networks during her second Ph.D. studies. Recently, she has also been involved in research studies related to IIoT networks and AI applications in wireless networks.
