Long Beach Trauma Recovery Center Receives $2 Million in Funding

Dr. Bita Ghafoori has been awarded a $2 million grant from the State of California Victim Compensation Board. This funding will support the mental health services, research, education, and outreach conducted at the Long Beach Trauma Recovery Center (LBTRC), where Dr. Ghafoori serves as Director. The LBTRC strives to improve the daily lives of victims of crime and violence and their families, through mental health and trauma support, while removing barriers to care for underserved victims of crime.
