Dr. Min Gu, Assistant Professor, Department of Liberal Studies, has been serving as an executive board member of the International Disability Studies, Arts & Education (DSAE) Conference since 2019. As part of this leadership position, Dr. Gu is helping to organize The 3rd International DSAE Conference, which will take place October 7-9, 2021, with scholars from Brazil, Egypt, Finland, Namibia, the UK, and the United States.

Dr. Gu's service to the International DSAE conference aligns with her research, which examines the experiences of artists with disabilities that otherwise go unrecognized by ableist art curriculum and pedagogy.

Please visit the International Disability Studies, Arts & Education (DSAE) Conference site for more information or to submit a proposal. In addition to a general call for proposals, there is also a themed call titled Disability Justice: Decentering Colonial Knowledge, Centering Decolonial Epistemologies. The deadline for submissions is May 1, 2021.

Please contact the conference via email at dsae@aalto.fi or reach out to Dr. Gu if you have any questions.
