Dr. Edwin Achola & Dr. Don Haviland Awarded Project HOGAR 2018-2019 Summer Faculty Grants

College of Education faculty, Dr. Edwin Achola and Dr. Don Haviland were each awarded Project HOGAR 2018-2019 Summer Faculty Grants.

Dr. Edwin Achola, Assistant Professor in Advanced Studies and Counseling, will use the grant to examine the impact of IDEA Indicator 13 compliance requirements on transition outcomes of students with disabilities in California to inform professional development activities for Long Beach Unified School District teachers, and led by College of Education students. 

Dr. Don Haviland, Professor in Educational Leadership, will be the lead author on a book focusing on policies and practices that reflect a positive collegial environment for full-time lecturers. The book will be produced in collaboration with faculty and doctoral students at Baylor University, as well as with College of Education Ed.D. student, Jenny Jacobs.
