The Covid-19 pandemic has emphasized that access to the internet is continually growing more pertinent to function within society. Work, school, and even social activities rely on the internet, leading to a significant increase in online use. While most people could adapt to this new way of living, some suffer from physical, intellectual, developmental, or sensory disabilities and cannot access certain websites.
First Round of Applications Extended to January 13th, 2021, at 11:59 p.m.
The California Office of the Small Business Advocate has announced it is now accepting applications for Round 1 of the California Small Business Covid-19 Relief Grant program. Small businesses and nonprofits can apply at CA RELIEF GRANT for micro-grants up to $25,000. Assistance is available in all counties and in multiple languages.
While the first day of a new year provides a variety of novelty, some old things become new; notably, copyrighted works from 1925 will finally be entering the public domain giving everyone access and use to literary, film, and musical classics. This year includes F. Scott Fitzgerald and Virginia Woolf's writings, music by the Gershwins, Duke Ellington, Fats Waller, and silent films from comedians Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd.
