Thank you for attending IBA’s (International Business Association) Annual Consulate Series!

After years-long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Business Association (IBA) at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) successfully organized its largest annual event, Consulate Series, on April 12, 2023. The event, which aims to promote cultural exchange and international business opportunities, featured keynote speakers from various consulates, cultural performances, and networking opportunities for students and professionals.

The event kicked off with a keynote address from the Consul-General of Japan in Los Angeles, Consul General Kenko Sone, who spoke about the strong economic and cultural ties between Japan and the United States. He also highlighted the importance of international cooperation in addressing global challenges. Mr. Tak Yokoo, the chairman of the Japan Hydrogen Forum (JH2F), gave a presentation focused on Japan-US collaborations aimed at achieving a carbon-neutral society. He also discussed the activities of JH2F, as well as the technologies of Japanese companies that are active in Southern California. The event also provided valuable networking opportunities for attendees, who were able to connect with professionals and consulates.
