Your Donation Makes a Difference: Support the COB Closet

As Career Fair season approaches, the Student Center for Professional Development (SCPD) is seeking support from College of Business (COB) faculty and staff to help support the COB Closet. A resource that provides COB students with free business casual and professional attire for career fairs, interviews, networking events, internships, and more.

Donations

Any new or gently used professional clothing can be dropped off now through Thursday, September 18, 2026,

Locations

Drop off at the COB CSS Office (COB-100), Dean's Office (COB-200), or SCPD Office (COB-366).

Last year, the COB Closet served an average of 200 students per semester, assisting 2.4 students per minute in the fall and 2.5 students per minute in the spring, with the first student lining up an hour before the event began. The demand for this resource is tremendous. We greatly appreciate the support of our faculty and staff and kindly ask for your help in spreading the word to alumni, friends, family members, neighbors, and community partners who may be interested in contributing.

We are also seeking volunteers to assist with the COB Closet Event on Thursday, October 1, any time between 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Volunteers can help with set-up, clean-up, organizing clothing, assisting students with sizing and fit, and boosting confidence through encouragement and compliments. If you are interested in volunteering, please email scpd@csulb.edu. Your support will contribute to students looking and feeling their best!
