Honoring a Semester of Mentorship and Momentum in the Junior Mentoring Program
The Student Center for Professional Development (SCPD) hosted its Junior Mentoring Program (JMP) Celebration, bringing together students to recognize a semester of growth and commitment. Participants had the opportunity to network with their cohort, reflect on their experiences, and celebrate their achievements while receiving their JMP lapel pin and a sweet treat in honor of their dedication. Through this semester-long program, students built meaningful relationships with industry mentors, gaining valuable insight and developing key professional skills to prepare for internships and their senior year.
JMP Mentee, Malia Miller, shared, “I am very grateful for having been able to participate in JMP. I love my mentor and really appreciate her taking the time to help me and develop me professionally. Through this program, I was able to strengthen my professional communication skills, proactivity, interview skills, and networking abilities. I highly recommend participating in JMP!”
As students close their JMP chapter, they are encouraged to continue their journey through SCPD’s Corporate Mentoring Program (CMP), expanding their networks, deepening their industry engagement, and further strengthen their confidence. The JMP Celebration marked the completion of a program, and the momentum toward continued growth and career readiness.
