Professor Ken Miller 2025 PCSW Advancement of Women Award

On behalf of the President’s Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW) at California State University, Long Beach, we would like to congratulate Professor Ken Miller  (Marketing, College of Business) on being selected as the faculty (Lecturer) recipient of the 2025 PCSW Advancement of Women Award (AOWA). 

Professor Miller has been identified as an incredible ally and mentor to female students. He is nominated for supporting as the faculty advisor for the American Marketing Association’s International Collegiate Conference and the CSU Sales Competition in which he coached and mentored female candidates by preparing them for the sales competitions and professional development, helping the female students to gain equal opportunities in competitive fields that have been dominated historically by male students. Additionally, Professor Miller actively volunteers with the Women in Business student organization and connects female students to networking and internship opportunities. PCSW recognized Professor Miller for his contributions to advising and mentoring and campus and community service. 

The President’s Commission on the Status of Women recognizes the importance of acknowledging individual university members for their contributions to the advancement of women. Through your advising/mentoring, campus service, community service, and scholarly and creative achievements, you are an inspiration and a role model.
