CSULB Painting Professor Emerita Marie Thibeault in solo show at Palos Verdes Art Center

CSULB Painting Professor Emerita Marie Thibeault has an upcoming show at the Palos Verdes Art Center. The exhibition, entitled Marie Thibeault: The Radiant Rupture, will showcase new paintings from the artist and will examine landscapes transformed by climate-related trauma. The large-scale paintings "fuse a complex abstract vocabulary" and "suggest conditions of rupture and instability...held in suspension within luminous fields of color." The opening reception will be Saturday January 24, from 6-9pm; and the exhibition will run from January 24 through April 11, 2026. An Artist talk and walkthrough will be held Saturday April 4th from 1-3pm.
