The Art History program prepares students with the necessary research skills and experiences to pursue a wide range of careers requiring developed critical, analytical, and communication skills.

Alumni job placement includes:

  • The Art Institute of Chicago;
  • Walker Art Center, Minneapolis;
  • The Broad;
  • Grammy Museum;
  • The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art;
  • Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art;
  • Orange County Museum of Art;
  • and several prominent Los Angeles galleries.

Students have obtained fellowships and internships at:

  • Archiv der Avantgarden, Dresden;
  • The Centre for Cinema and Media Studies, Ghent University;
  • The US Department of the Interior;
  • Morgan Library & Museum;
  • Sam Francis Foundation;
  • The Metropolitan Museum, New York;
