Strengthening Ties: CSULB Engages in Strategic Talks with Ming Chuan University

From March 19 to March 23, Associate Dean Sabine Reddy participated in a university delegation to our partner institution, . Ming Chuan University , in Taipei, Taiwan. The delegation was led by Provost Scissum Gunn. Ming Chuan University, a long-time partner in student exchanges, is exploring the possibility of establishing a branch campus at CSULB. Negotiations are ongoing, but their leadership and faculty have expressed strong interest in developing both graduate and undergraduate programs with the College of Business. In addition to the College of Business, the College of Liberal Arts Chinese Studies Department is exploring joint programs in Chinese language.

While the College of Business is currently impacted, we welcome international students as they bring diverse perspectives to our classes. Additionally, discussions are underway regarding faculty exchanges and study trips, which would further enrich our academic community.

Despite a tightly packed schedule, the delegation managed to participate in a corporate tour of ASE, the world's largest outsourced semiconductor assembly and test provider. The delegation also attended Ming Chuan University’s 68th anniversary celebrations, which included a banquet, a reception, and a sports and cheerleading event.
