Closet Confidence: COB Community Suits Up for Student Success
As part of the College of Business (COB) month-long COB-tober (October) celebration, the COB Closet stood out as a powerful example of how access to professional resources can transform student confidence and readiness. Hosted by the Student Center for Professional Development (SCPD) and COB Internships Office, the COB Closet provided free professional attire to students preparing for internships and job opportunities, removing a key barrier to career access. This semester’s event was a resounding success, serving 220 students in just 90 minutes, an impressive 2.4 students per minute, up from 2 students per minute last semester.
More Than Clothing
The COB Closet is more than just clothing; it’s a statement of inclusive career readiness and a commitment to professional equity. By ensuring that every student has access to the tools they need to show up with confidence, we’re helping to level the playing field and empower the next generation of business leaders. As such, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this event possible through their donations, outreach, and volunteering. Your support made this meaningful event possible for our students and truly reflects the heart of the COB community.
