Workshops and Events

ISPACE hosts workshops, tours, and public events throughout the year. 

Dive into the fundamentals of 3D modeling! Join us in-person at the ISPACE for this hands-on workshop to create digital designs. Follow along as we demonstrate Tinkercad, a free web app used to prepare files for the 3D printers at the ISPACE.

All skill levels are welcome! Whether you're completely new to 3D modeling or looking to expand your skills, this workshop offers a practical and immersive experience to help you get started on your projects.

Open to all CSULB students, staff, and faculty.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Intro to CAD (Computer Aided Design) software
  • 3D modeling assistance and feedback on your projects
  • Get to know fellow makers in community
  • Peer-to-peer skill sharing

Explore design in a whole new dimension!
 
In this hands-on, in-person, beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn the basics of designing in Virtual Reality (VR) with Gravity Sketch to create 3D models that can be used in a variety of applications such as, car design, apparel design, video game environments, electronics and device design, toy design, and more!
 
Join us at the ISPACE XR Lab where you'll be provided with a VR headset and access to the software to bring your ideas to life.  
 
No prior experience is required. Just bring your curiosity and get ready to practice creative thinking and spatial awareness skills while having fun!
 
Open to all CSULB students, staff, and faculty.
