Students and instructors alike often have mixed feelings about group projects. In this session, we will discuss ways to set up group projects in order to maximize their benefits and limit their challenges.

To do so, we’ll listen to clips from the Teaching Takes podcast, where instructors from across the nation share their “takes” on how to design group work well. We’ll discuss each take and consider its implications for teaching and learning. Afterwards, we’ll explore what the literature says about how to structure group projects for success.

This is a discussion-based session (not a workshop), so please come ready to share your thoughts.

Additional Details:

  • Modality: Virtual via Zoom
  • Duration: 75 minutes
  • The session will not be recorded in order to create a space for open and honest dialogue.
