CSULB Painting Professor Daniel Dove to moderate panel for Perin Mahler two-person exhibition at Torrance Art Museum

CSULB Painting Professor Daniel Dove will moderate a panel discussion for the exhibition, Code Collapse - Bachrun Lomele and Perin Mahler. The discussion will be held on Saturday, November 1, at 1:00pm in Gallery Two of the Torrance Art Museum.

CSULB Painting lecturer Perin Mahler is in two-person show exhibition at Torrance Art Museum, entitled Code Collapse - Bachrun Lomele and Perin Mahler. "Code Collapse is a concept in tech where most of the code in a piece of software gets hidden and just a synopsis or abbreviation remains visible...It could also suggest the breakdown of moral or legal codes that were previously considered normative." In both Mahler and Lomele's work, the exploded building serves as a metaphor for the breakdown of a unified standard of fact.

The exhibition will open on October 18 and will run through November 26, 2025. The panel discussion, with the artists and Professor Dove, will be held at the museum in Gallery Two on Saturday, November 1st, at 1:00pm.
