CSULB Painting Professor Daniel Dove in solo show at Phillip Martin Gallery

CSULB Painting Professor Daniel Dove has a solo show of his paintings at the Phillip Martin Gallery in Los Angeles. Entitled, Slab Citizen the exhibition delves into a series of landscapes that both refer to the Slab Cities that populate our deserts to fictive ones that only exist digitally. The works are bathed in Magic Hour lighting that permeates the western landscape and are populated with sculptures that echo bulls or buffaloes, with backdrops that look like the backdrops of a Hollywood set in their avid 2-dimensionality. The exhibition will run from March 14 through April 25, 2026; with an artist virtual walkthrough that occurred on March 20, 2026
