9th Annual CSCMP Technology & Supply Chain Summit 2025
The College of Business hosted the 9th Annual CSCMP Technology & Supply Chain Summit on October 17, 2025, at The Pointe Conference Center. With more than 120 participants in attendance, the full-day event connected students, faculty, and industry leaders from globally recognized organizations, including Maersk, the Port of Long Beach, Rivian, Amazon, Boston Dynamics, and Trade Facilitators. This year’s theme, “Technology Empowering Today’s Supply Chain and Logistics,” inspired meaningful conversations about how automation, robotics, and artificial intelligence are transforming the operational landscape of global supply chains.
Opening
Dean Mark M. Suazo opened the Summit by highlighting the College’s mission to prepare future-ready talent and expand industry collaboration. He emphasized that the Supply Chain Management (SCM) program is a cornerstone of the College of Business, noting its tremendous potential to support regional economic growth and strengthen Southern California’s leadership in global logistics.
Keynotes
Keynotes delivered by senior executives who are leading digital transformation efforts provided valuable insights into the evolving relationship between people and technology, the practical applications of AI in logistics, and how emerging digital capabilities are enhancing operational resilience and performance. Two expert-led panel discussions further explored both the foundational technologies that have shaped supply chain success and the next-generation innovations that will define the field moving forward.
Faculty
SCM faculty contributed to these discussions by reinforcing the importance of inclusive digital transformation. They stressed that as technologies advance, workforce readiness and empowerment must remain a top priority. Faculty also shared examples of how the CSULB SCM curriculum continues to evolve to prepare students for data-driven, technology-enabled careers, including the addition of the new SCM Analytics course.
Students
During the Summit, students benefited from direct engagement with senior practitioners, networking opportunities, and exposure to emerging innovations that extend learning beyond the classroom.
