3D Printing
3D printing at ISPACE is not entirely free, but it is heavily subsidized by the Student Excellence Fund (SEF). Students receive a 70% discount on printing materials.
What is the SEF Subsidy Program?
The SEF Subsidy Program provides funding to subsidize the cost of 3D printing materials, making it affordable for all students. This program aims to encourage innovation and hands-on learning by reducing financial barriers.
Students can pay for 3D prints using Beach Bucks, which can be loaded onto their Beach ID Card. Payments are made at ISPACE.
Beach Bucks, what’s that?
Beach Bucks is a prepaid account linked to your Beach ID Card. It can be used as an alternative form of payment on and off campus, including for printing services at ISPACE. You can deposit funds online, through the mobile app, or in person at a Beach Bucks deposit station. The deposit station nearest the ISPACE is conveniently located on the first floor of the Library.
